Day 1: Nairobi - Amboseli National Park
Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or preferred location within Nairobi at 7:00 AM. Then, followed by a short safari briefing before departing for Amboseli National Park via Mombasa Road. A brief stop will be made at Emali Town for a washroom break before continuing the journey. You will arrive at your camp/lodge at 2:00 PM in good time for lunch. You’ll check-in, have lunch, and have some time to relax and freshen up.
In the afternoon at 3:00 PM, depart for an exciting game drive in Amboseli National Park. Covering approximately 392 square kilometers, Amboseli is one of Kenya's most celebrated wildlife destinations, renowned for its spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak. The park is famous for its large elephant herds and is home to an abundance of wildlife, including lions, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, numerous antelope species, and a rich variety of birdlife.
What to expect:
- Large elephant herds
- Lions, cheetahs, hyenas
- Buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests
- Giraffes and various antelope species
- Rich birdlife around the wetlands
Your guide will make strategic stops for wildlife viewing and photography while sharing insights into animal behavior and conservation efforts.
After the game drive, return to the camp/lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Amboseli National Park - Departure for Nairobi
Start your day with an early morning breakfast before checking out of the camp/lodge by 7:00 AM.
After check-out, enjoy a final morning game drive to around 12:00 PM as you exit Amboseli National Park, offering one last opportunity to spot wildlife and capture breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro (weather permitting).
Thereafter, begin your journey back to Nairobi with a brief stop en route for a self-sponsored lunch. You’ll enjoy a relaxed drive as you reflect on the day’s wildlife encounters and scenic landscapes.
Drop-Off
You are expected to arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon. After arriving back in Nairobi, you will be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or preferred location, marking the end of your Amboseli safari experience. Reflect on a rewarding safari filled with iconic wildlife, breathtaking scenery, and unforgettable views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
